It’s a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood!

May 4, 2011

The weather is cool today and there is a frost warning tonight. However, there is actually sunshine! Mostly clear skies with some light fluffy clouds! What a nice change from the storms of the last week. We were supposed to get another half-inch of rain today, but it never came. Perhaps that was answer to all the prayers that have been going up.

Eight days of rain are coming, though. It is hard not having our pipes cleared. That will make it harder to get in and out during that time.

We did not get much done the last couple of days. The other night, we had some friends’ bring over a laptop that needed some help. They stayed for dinner and we had a really nice time visiting with them. They were the first one’s to officially have dinner with us in Beit-Shalom outside of a workday!

The next night more friends of ours, a couple from CA, came by. They were visiting in the next state and came to spend the night with us. That worked out because they were traveling in a little camper of their own. What a blessing it was to see them again! The time went way too fast!

Dave had to run errands today, so we did not get work done on Beit-Shalom. That is OK. All will happen in our Abba’s time. Tomorrow we plan to get back to work. It was a nice blessing to have a respite with the two friend/couples! We are looking forward to being able to all the opportunities that will open up to us once we get into the house…like being able to have guests and good fellowship!

I took a photo a while back of a flower amidst the wood sitting out there. I hope you enjoy it.

    Respites are nice! 🙂

What a pretty violet photo. I just love violets! One of my favorite early spring flowers. 🙂
