Popping In!

October 21, 2010

I just thought I would pop in and update everyone. I have not been feeling well and we are both waking up feeling like we have allergies. I think it is the time of year. Elias came down sick yesterday and has a fever.

On Monday, the guys got to go to a political debate…our son’s first. He loved it. What a way to experience government first hand!

Dave has been working on the fourth wall and has it almost done. This Saturday, it is to be raised and the trusses and roof put on. I don’t know how far they will get with it. We just keep praying to get in before the first snow flurries and the persistent cold weather.

This time of year is always rather difficult for me due to my family of origin history. It is very difficult to think about what will happen at the end of this month…just like it does at the end of every October. Nasty stuff.

It is late and I really do need to get off to bed. I hope everyone is doing well. Please consider the existence of the Creator. Seek Him out with all of your heart. There are changes coming in this world and, if you are not prepared, it will be worse for you. But the worst of all is if you are not prepared for when you meet Yeshua/Jesus…and you will meet Him…either when He comes back or when you die. Please…seek Him. Don’t waste your life. Don’t waste eternity!

    Hi Abi,
Just a thought from our own past experience. MOLD – can affect your immune system and cause many illnesses. Allergy like symptoms being one of them. You mentioned that your RV has a lot of mold in it. Brenda and I lived in a couple of places that were full of mold. We started to get sick frequently. The doctor attributed our frequent illness and symptoms to the mold. Sad;y we moved from one place to another and encountered mold there as well. Moved the third time and, guess what, the mold was so bad that it was growing up the legs of our furniture setting on the carpet. Of course, these were basement and semi-basement apartments in private homes. Now we live on the top floor of a seniors building and are finally mold free. But we still have left over affects from the mold. It affected our immune systems so that we still have allergy problems and are sick often with cold like symptoms.
As for the fever, that could be something else, like a flu bug. Good to read about your son experiencing a political debate. Politics can be interesting and frustrating. Especially when they have the power to make decisions that affect so many lives without any input or discussion from the people who will be affected by the decisions.
Still praying for you all that you get your house finished and into it before the snow hits. So long as you get it sealed on the outside and the roof done and a source of heat. There is a lot that can be done on the inside even in the cold and snow.
    God Bless

Hi, Byron, yeah…we understand about the mold being able to affect our health. Thankfully, it isn’t anywhere near as bad as what you describe. I am SO glad that you got out of those situations and I pray that you and Brenda see the after effects going away. Overall, I think our health is pretty decent considering our living situation. For that, we are very grateful.

Thank you for your prayers. They are much appreciated. We have all been thinking along the same lines…about getting the shell and minimal stuff done and finishing it off once we move in. 🙂
