A Soldier’s Return

February 26, 2010

We saw this video and just had to share it. According to the Naval Leadership Blog, the body of Staff Sergeant John C. Beale was returned to Falcon Field, Peachtree City, GA on June 11, 1009. It was escorted to McDonough, GA by the Henry County Police Department. The route to be taken and the approximate time of the procession was listed in the paper. That was it…just a simple notice.

Yet…take a look at all the people who came out and stood all along the route to honor this brave soldier. Yes…there ARE still people who honor those who have VOLUNTEERED to defend freedom. Shame on those who would vilify them. We should be grateful to them and their families for the sacrifices they all make. And this family…they made the ultimate sacrifice.
