Much to Be Thankful For!

November 26, 2009

We have so much to be thankful for. Our footers are in and are awaiting the block layer. Yes I have pictures, but no they are not where I can upload them yet. They are coming!

We have family and friends who love us…even with our “warts”. We have sons we love who have brought into our family wonderful daughters-in-love. We have five precious grandchildren who we carry in our hearts…including one whose birthday is today!

We live on a hillside surrounded by trees and looking down upon a meadow. We have two creeks that run across our property. Our chickens are ranging in the meadow. Kitty is outside enjoying the countryside.

We are warm and dry in our little RV. There is stuffing in our micro-convection oven and Dave is getting the turkey ready to go in the Weber wannabe grill where he will cook it over charcoal and mesquite wood chips. While that is baking, I will be working on mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes.

I get to listen to the bible readings from my favorite translation at MJTI. I also get to listen to beautiful worship music at PBN.

Right now I am eating yummy turkey liver sauteed in butter, while Dave gets the heart and Elias gets the gizzard. The neck is simmering for Elias to eat later.

When the guys went out, they bought two pies…pumpkin and apple/caramel. I don’t know if I have ever had an apple/caramel pie before.

Well, it is time for me to move on to other things.

From our little RV on the hillside to you wherever you are…we hope that your Thanksgiving is as blessed as ours.
