Floorplan for Beit-Elohim

October 16, 2009

I  had to put everything into a one story 30′ x 40′ floor plan. Why 30′ x 40′? Because we are using the trusses we had made for the workshop we never could get built. The trusses are for a 30′ x 40′ footprint. That made coming up with a practical layout that makes the most of the available space very challenging.

I tried a few different designs, but this is pretty much what we are going with for now. Minimum two bedrooms and possible office/guest room. It is designed to allow for attaching a garage to the side…someday. I also designed it to allow for privacy in both the master and the second bedroom.

I tried to allow for the thickness of walls. The trial floor plan software I used had sample furniture graphics.

The room with the two doors would be the office. We hope the outer door will eventually lead into a garage.
