State of the Nation – Answers in Genesis

June 26, 2009

This nation is changing. More and more young people are walking away from belonging to any kind of church. More and more are walking away from having faith in Yahweh. Why is that?

A donor to AiG paid for a study to be done to find out just why that is. They called over 23,000 young people to find a good cross section who had been raised in the church. These are people who came from church attending, conservative families…yet they walked away. Many of them attended Sunday School and Youth Group on a regular basis. So, why did they leave?

Well, the study takes a look at that question.

Ken Ham gave a “State of the Nation” address at the Creation Museum, followed by a time of talking with researcher Britt Beemer. It was Britt Beemer whose organization (American Research Group) did the study.  They talk about the results of the study.

They also co-authored a book called Already Gone – Why your kids will quit church and what you can do to stop it. In the book, the study is broken down and looked at from all sorts of angle. Be prepared for a surprise. The reasons church attending youth are leaving the church later may surprise you.

This video is of the presentation given by Ken Ham.
