A Turtle on the Land!

November 10, 2008

Some time ago, we discovered a turtle on our pad. It was a pretty good sized turtle, probably about 7 inches long? Here are some pictures I got.

    I LOVE TURTLES!

I have a zillion artificial ones that friends and family have given me over the years. As a teenager (oh so many years ago) I had three real pet turtles … for years. My folks finally gave them to a retirement home 15 years after I got married and left home.

Throw left over vegetables out to your turtle. Especially lettuce. We used to pick up boxes of the throw-away lettuce debris from a local grocery store. They kept the stuff for us to pick up.

So, you’ve been adopted by a cat (and another one has tried) and a turtle. You’ve also been adopted as “family” by Pat and Me …

    Love and Hugs,
    Claudia

Ooh! Thank you for the advice, Claudia! The turtle left…we didn’t keep him. If I see one again, though, I will know what to feed it. Maybe it will stick around then?

The best adoptions are the ones that just happen…the God ordained ones…like you and us. 🙂

    love,
    Abi
