Living in a “Cave” & Let There Be Light!

On very cold days, I sometimes leave the window coverings on to help keep the cold out. I took some pictures in an attempt to show what it is like inside when the coverings are left on. It kind of feels like we are in a “cave”.  I progressively took the coverings off, one by one, showing the progression from darkness to light. I had to take the pictures without using flash, obviously. They are not the best quality pictures, but I think they give some kind of idea of how dark it is inside with the lights off when the windows are covered.

This first one is the window behind the couch.

If I aim the camera at the aisle, rather than the window, all you get in the picture is a little red glow from a power bar. Our human eyes do adjust to the ambient light in the RV, causing us to see better than the camera does, but this does give you an idea of how dark it can be in here.

This is the bathroom window. It stays covered in the winter. In the warmer months we take out the foil and leave the blinds closed.

This is the kitchen window. You can see how worn the foil insulation is. I really need to cut a new one!

This is the window over the couch after the blanket/curtain is pulled back. Again, you can see how worn the foil insulation is. Considering this is the at least the third, if not the fourth winter the sheets have been used, they are actually holding up pretty well.

Ahhhh…NOW we light! What a huge difference there is when the coverings are off!

There was a time when the world was in darkness…in the beginning when it was first created. Yahweh, the Creator, said “Let there be light!”…and there was. Just as we need light to  function well in the physical world, we also need spiritual light to function well in the spiritual world.

Are you living in spiritual darkness? Or in spiritual light? There is only one source of true and good spiritual light…Yahweh…the One True God as revealed in the Bible. He has shown us that true light through His Son…Yeshua/Jesus. There is another spiritual being who claims to have light and who can even appear as an angel of light, but who is really nothing but evil and darkness. Who are you serving? We choose to serve Yahweh…the One True God!
